DAVID PHOTOGRAPHED HIS FEET IN DIFFERENT BODIES OF WATER

I have always been fascinated by water and its ubiquity in nature. Water makes up over 50% of the human body and covers over 70% of the earth. Water has always brought me great peace and comfort, and wherever I go, I tend to seek out a body of water to enjoy. In this collection of photos, I have tried to capture the pervasiveness and variance of water, as well as its relationship with the human body.

I thoroughly enjoyed the process of shooting these pictures. It was fun, exciting and creative. Although they share a common theme, the environment and the experience were significantly different for each shot. I relished in the unpredictability as I took off my shoes and waded into each body of water, camera in tow. Would the water be calm or rough? Would it be shockingly cold or enjoyably warm? Would I need to take care not to slip on the rocks or sink into the sand?
